Nesflashes for 19 August by KT

You can still get a free download of the FENRIK LANE EP at melodicrock.com . One of the other songs on the forthcoming album can be listened on our MySpace page.

Tomorrow in Turku, Finland... Human Temple will premiere their new line-up at Klubi. There's a "mini-festival" with four bands there. Other acts are Sentiment, Sinfactor and Ponies To Kill. You can check out Temple's "Ghost Of You" at our MySpace too.

27 October - It's Joe Lynn Turner & co in Helsinki, Finland. The place is Kulttuuritalo and the band's called Over The Rainbow, as you might have guessed.

Finnish band MYON will release two new tracks (inner fire/Built by the distance) tomorrow via Itunes and other digital providers. The songs are tasters from the new album "Vitalworks". They'll release a radio single domestically too, and it features a cover of Foreigner's "That Was Yesterday" and a dance remix of the song "Built by the distance".

Steve Vai is about to release his live album "Live In Minneapolis:
Where The Wild Things Are" on 180g vinyl. All sorts of techical things have been done to ensure that the audio quality is better than any of the other versions of the album. For Hi-Fi freaks, I guess!

Neil Daniels' "All Pens Blazing" book has been give a facelift, a new cool coverart and now the text is bigger. We've reviewed the book, and while it was a good read, the small print caused a bit of a headache! Now there's no reason not to buy it, go get it at http://www.authorsonline.co.uk/book/786/All_Pens_Blazing/paperback/
. It's a book about rock writers, if you didn't know that already... and they've got some stories to tell.

Robert Plant has a new single available soon... press has been given a chance to listen to it already, and I'm listening to it right now... kinda organic sounding, the voice is unmistakable...

There's an Eddie Vedder single available too, and it's...kinda organic sounding, the voice is unmistakable... is there an echo here?

And while I'm at it, let's take a listen to the Volbeat song "Fallen"... well, it rocks more than the previous two, and if I didn't know it's them, I'd think it's someone like Daughtry or something. Melodic modern rock, and a positive surprise for me.

That's all from me for the time being.
